Andrew Sommers is the Managing Partner and has been with the firm since 1997, becoming a partner in 2001 and Managing Partner in 2012. Before joining the firm, he was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York. Andy earned a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and graduated with honors with a B.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he co-chairs the investment committee for both Albert Einstein and the Montefiore Medical Center, and on the Board of Directors of The New 42nd Street, where he chairs the investment committee and serves on the Executive Committee.
